The good news for those with tickets to Sunday's Dolphins-Jets game is that the NFL did not choose it for flexing into prime time, something most fans prefer to avoid, especially at this time of year.
Instead, the Broncos-Chargers game to decide the lowly AFC West will be featured on NBC.
The bad news for Jets fans, of course, is that their team's game went from prime-time favorite to also-ran only after Gang Green lost to the Seahawks, muddying the prospects for a clear-cut showdown for the AFC East title at the Meadowlands.
The Broncos made it easy for the NFL by being upset at home by the Bills, setting up a "win and you're in" game in San Diego, where there will not be any complaining about the cold nighttime weather.
The league has not announced the full Week 17 schedule; the Jets could play at 1 o'clock or 4:15.
