Face(book) the facts: The online world can be dangerous.
A single comment on a popular social networking site has cost a longtime stadium employee his job with the Philadelphia Eagles, a newspaper reported.
Dan Leone, a game-day worker at Lincoln Financial Field, told The Inquirer he was fired after posting an angry reaction to the news that fan favorite Brian Dawkins had left the Eagles to sign with the Denver Broncos.
Leone, 32, who has been a lifelong Eagles fan and grew up near Veterans Stadium, vented on his Facebook.com page: "Dan is (expletive) devastated about Dawkins signing with Denver. . .Dam Eagles R Retarted!!"
"I shouldn't have put it up there," Leone told the paper. "I was ticked off, and I let my emotions go, but I didn't offend any one person or target a specific individual. I was just upset that we lost such a great guy. Dawkins was one of my favorite players. I made a mistake."
